FAQ
Why do I need a Smart Wristband?
Its every parents' worst nightmare. You turn around and your son or daughter is no longer with you. As soon as children are able to crawl, they are on a mission to run, play, and explore while not being concerned about staying near their parents. A Smart Wristband is a simple cloth-like band with adhesive closure that your children wear to link to critical information and reconnect them to you.
What makes KidsInfoBand a Smart Wristband?
Our unique wristbands deploy multiple technologies not found in conventional phone number (Sharpie) wristbands. We are able to communicate lots of information very quickly via the QR Code and/or Unique ID Code Search.
What happens when someone scans the QR Code or searches the Unique ID Code?
If someone scans your child's QR code or searches the Unique ID Code via www.KidsInfoBand.com, the 'Primary Contact' phone number provided in your account will be immediately sent a text message letting you know that someone attempting to assist your child. You will also be sent the approximate location via Google Maps (the individual will need to elect to share their location). Once this occurs, the person assisting your child will be shown the EZ-Connect options to reach out to the contacts you've provided.
What is EZ-Connect?
EZ-Connect allows the adult assisting your child contact you immediately. With one tap of the screen they will be able to call either the Primary, Secondary, or Emergency phone numbers you've provided. This same simple process is used for sending an email or contacting your hotel/venue/attraction.
Why are my child's allergies important for a Smart Wristband?
If you and your child are separated for an extended time period, you want to ensure the assisting adult doesn't provide an allergen that could make a bad situation, worse.
Why isn't my child's name on the Smart Wristband?
Your child's name will never be printed on the wristband nor will it be published because we've found that it's not critical to reconnecting you to your child. The child's last name will be available in the EZ-Connect information but this is simply for verification purposes.
Why is there an expiration date for the Smart Wristband?
The information that is associated to your Smart Wristband is critical to reconnect you to your child but is also sensitive. We encourage parents to simply destroy and dispose of the wristband once used. The expiration date is an added security measure to limit the potential exposure of your contact information. Please email us if you'd like us to terminate your Unique ID Code prematurely.
Is there an example of what the EZ-Connect page looks like?
